Rearcross National School gets to the last four of Tipperary 5-a-side Schools Competition

Rearcross National School fielded two teams in the FAI Primary Schools Competition in Newhill Park and turned in sterling performances over a two day period, Rearcross 'B' met stiff opposition in the opening rounds before bowing out of the competition, nevertheless all 'B' team panellists produced fine performances on the day against much stronger opposition.
Rearcross 'A' made it through to the semi-final stages at the end of the second day, before eventually losing out to the eventual winners Rathkeevan who were managed by former Dundalk and Cork City player Stephen Napier. Both Rearcross teams were managed by Noel Deegan as Rearcross 'A' emulated the school team of two years ago which also made it to the last four of this prestigious competition. Thanks to Noel Deegan and Rearcross National School for facilitating participation in this competition and finally well done to all players in the getting to the last 4 of a tournament that included the participation of 70 teams.
